Emily Brown, founder and curator of Bellchase Ruby
I’m a born-and-raised midwesterner living in Florida! (Before you ask, I moved here for love.) I work full-time in retail and overall, I enjoy the fast-pace and leadership skills I’ve developed in this role. Outside of work, I enjoy discovering local small businesses. Lately, I’ve gotten really into thrifting and exploring farmer’s markets.
My favorite hobby, though, is knitting! I try to knit at least a few stitches every single day; it’s my meditation and my peace. If you’ve been around awhile, you definitely know this (I used to sell my knits plus I still share my knitting on my EB Knits YouTube channel). I taught myself to knit on a whim in 2017 and have never looked back. Knitting led to my exploration into slow fashion and all kinds of eco-friendly products and routines, which ultimately led to the idea of Bellchase Ruby.
