bellchase ruby? EB knits? which is which?

Short answer: They’re the same. Reference my about page or the blog for an extended answer.

But, here’s a summary: EB Knits was established around 2018 and it stemmed from my passion for knitting and sharing this creative hobby with friends and family. However, after a few seasons of knitting-for-profit, I started to burn out and turned my love of knitting back into a hobby exclusively. But I wasn’t ready to give up on my small business altogether. Through EB Knits I discovered many small businesses with unique and special products that I’m passionate about and want to support, therefore I transitioned EB Knits to Bellchase Ruby in 2023. Bellchase Ruby is a central location to support and share small businesses that I love. This avenue allows me to continue to pursue entrepreneurship (which I’ve discovered I really enjoy), while also curating collections of products that are more inclusive and less all-about-me. Also, I’ll post items handmade by me on a limited and exclusive basis here!

What payment options are accepted?

All major credit and debit cards and PayPal are accepted forms of payment in the EB Knits Shop with the payment due at checkout.

What delivery method do you use?

All packages will be shipped via USPS First Class Mail when applicable (if under 13 ounces). If an order is too heavy for First Class Mail, I will ship it via USPS Retail Ground. Both of these options traditionally take 2-6 days to arrive at your door. Otherwise, you have the option at checkout of USPS Priority Mail 1 or 2 day shipping if you need or would like your order expedited.

how soon will my order ship?

In stock items will be sent out within 48 hours of your purchase. For custom orders, please reference each listing for respective production time. Please keep in mind that during the holiday season (October-December), shipping prices and times dramatically increase. Allow at least 10 days to receive your order.

do you offer free shipping?

Not at all times. Selectively, throughout the year I may offer a free shipping promotion, but there is not a designated schedule for promotions.

where do you ship to?

Currently BellchaseRuby.com and EBKnits.org are only shipping to customers in the United States. However, if you are an international customer, check out my Etsy shop, EBKnitsbyEmily because I do ship internationally on Etsy.

what if my package is “lost”?

Oh no! I unfortunately do not have any control over the tracking/shipping of an item once it leaves my home. However, if your item is delayed beyond 30 days from the expected delivery date, please contact me and I will do my best to rectify the situation.

how are orders packaged?

Every order includes a tag with specific care instructions and materials (which you can also find on the listing on the website). All print materials are printed on recycled paper with soy inks. Your item(s) are then placed in a cotton produce bag. The order is shipped in a 100% recycled polymailer and sent off to your home

what are the care instructions for my product?

This truly depends on which item you ordered and the materials used to create it. Care instructions are listed beneath every product listing and included with every order so please refer to this for washing guidelines. In general, however, hand washing is the safest option. Select home items that are 100% cotton are machine washable and dryable, but keep in mind they may shrink if on high heat. Listings are clearly marked.

how is Bellchase Ruby eco-friendly?

I’ve become very passionate about protecting our planet as much as I can and the term eco-friendly has become such a relative word, where the definition varies from person-to-person and business-to-business. For Bellchase Ruby, every material I use is mindfully sourced, from the product itself to the labels and its packaging, it’s all eco-friendly. All of the small businesses that I share, promote, sell and align Bellchase Ruby with, have been extensively researched and also value the planet. Please note that I’m by no means an expert on this topic and am learning as I go.

Since starting EB Knits (now Bellchase Ruby), I’ve realized how special it is to support other small businesses, so I try to do so as much as possible.

can i find Bellchase ruby on other platforms?

Yes you can! The largest selection and inventory is available right here, however I post select items on Etsy as well. On Etsy, the name of my shop is EBKnitsbyEmily.

do you accept returns or exchanges?

I do accept returns as long as the customer contacts me within 14 days of delivery and ships the item back in its original condition within 30 days of delivery. Customers are responsible for shipping charges for the return. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. Personalized and custom orders, however, cannot be returned since these were created with the specific customer in mind.

Ultimately I want every Bellchase Ruby customer to leave my shop feeling satisfied and excited about their item! I hope you love your item straightaway, but if that’s not the case, I’ll certainly work with you.

i need my custom order sooner than the listed production time (LIMITED/SELECT AVAILABILTY). What can I do?

Custom orders are available on an extremely limited and selective basis, so please take note they may not be available at the time you request one. If you order a custom order during a time they are available and need it sooner than the time listed, shoot me an email at bellchaseruby@gmail.com and I will work overtime to expedite your order. To accommodate this additional time, however, there will be a $25 rush charge in addition to your purchase total. To be fair to all customers, I will work on your order in overtime hours, as to not “jump the line” before other customers.
