Etsy Gift Guide: The 2023 Holiday Season

Disclosure: Some of the links in this post are affiliate links and if you go through them to make a purchase I will earn a commission. Everything I link here is solely because of its quality, uniqueness and in support of the business. I would definitely recommend these links to you regardless of affiliation simply because of their appeal.

Etsy is my go-to marketplace to find small shops with unique products, and as an added bonus, I feel good supporting! I’ve started searching Etsy for holiday gifts for loved ones and a few special treats for myself as the close of the year nears.

To find the shops that are perfect for me, I start with shops that are recommended by people I trust (family, friends and even podcasters I love). My next step is to search five-star shops that are located near me so I can support as local as possible. I then favorite the shops and products that catch my eye and narrow the list from there based on shipping times and prices, materials and reviews. I recommend you try the same - there are SO MANY special businesses that deserve our support and love!

I’ve created a list of the shops that I have discovered recently, favorited and I’ve even purchased from a few!

Make your gift even more personal by customizing something very special. Check out Etsy’s editors picks of custom selections here!

Avenue Crafter leather bookmark: An example of one of Etsy’s editors suggested customized items.

A project bag from I Heart Ewe: A project bag from I Heart Ewe: this maker is Canadian and I love following her I Heart Knitting podcast on YouTube - I just bought 2 project bags from her in a recent sale. She makes a real effort to source materials local to her and her genuineness is what drew me to shop from her shop (and I even paid for shipping, something I usually avoid!). This bag can be used for makeup, craft projects or any other small items you need to carry!

Advent Calendar by MsPamelaOriginals: I thought I might be too late to purchase an Advent calendar this year, but turns out there are still some available! I purchased a yarn advent calendar (not this exact one, though) so that I can treat myself each day in December with a small gift, but you can get Advent/countdown type boxes of almost any kind. You deserve it!

Flock Around the Table stitch markers: Indulge me - is this not the cutest stitch marker ever, makers?! I haven’t purchased this just yet, but I cannot get over how adorable it is. This shop also has selections for mystery stitch marker sets as well - a fun addition to your crafting toolbox!

Floral embroidery kit by Beaks and Bobbins: I am working on this gorgeous embroidery pattern and I cannot express enough how 1. beautiful it is and 2. how well-put-together the kit is! Trust me, I’ve worked from some kits that were lacking, especially for beginners like me, but this one is excellent! Embroidery is a fun, compact craft to try! I love gifting and receiving kits for crafts I’ve never tried before.

Dried Flower Bouquets by Woodbine Everlasting: This bouquet is another previous purchase of mine and the flowers and vase are a lasting gift that makes a small, but super cute impact in whatever space you choose to place it in!

Blind date with a book by Light it up Literary: This is such a fun idea that takes the pressure off picking the perfect book for your friend or loved one! You can select the genre that you or recipient loves to read and let the gift do the rest!

Custom Family Portrait by TheSmallMomentsToo: It’s early enough where you can grab a super special custom ornament for your tree this year or surprise a loved one with this custom creation!

Thank you for scrolling through the entirety of this post and I hope you are inspired to support small and purchase some uber-unique gifts this holiday season and beyond!
