Welcome to my latest venture, Bellchase Ruby - an intentional curation of goods that are intended to fill your home with joy using eco-friendly materials by supporting my fellow small businesses.
Here, I’m no longer the maker, instead I’m the curator, the founder and the eye behind the products. Through extensive research, I can’t wait to discover small brands that create unique and planet-friendly items that I will bring to you through the new Bellchase Ruby shop.
Now, there may be a few items that I make and bring to the shop selectively, but the main focus with this new project is to spotlight other artisans.
I’m so excited you’re here and hope you’ll come along on this journey with me as I endeavor into this new business. Instead of pressuring myself to constantly create and lean into the fast fashion and capitalistic culture, I’m going to avert the norms with this platform and relieve myself of this pressure. Instead, I’ll focus on sharing only what I truly love, sell it in limited capacities and release these curated products only when time allows. This ideology feels so freeing to me given that I love supporting artisans and small businesses, but face too much self-imposed pressure when I solely focus on turning a profit or selling items quickly. This is a mindset I have to remind myself of often: that it’s okay to be imperfect and to not constantly be doing. And with that reminder to myself, I’m hitting publish on this website. I don’t have the shop all figured out yet, I’m not sure what I want to bring to Bellchase Ruby first, but I know I want to get started, so here goes!
